Air India international passengers can now avail check-in and baggage drop-off services at select Delhi Metro stations

Partners with DMRC & DIAL to make the passenger experience smoother.

Gurugram, June 3, 2024: Air India, India’s largest global airline, has collaborated with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Delhi International Airport (DIAL) to facilitate check-in for international travelers at two Delhi Metro stations – New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium. The Delhi Airport Check-in & Baggage Drop facility allows passengers to check their luggage at the metro station, giving travelers outside the station the opportunity to explore the city without luggage. Meanwhile, their luggage is safely loaded onto the aircraft through an advanced automated infrastructure created by DMRC & DIAL.

This service is currently available for domestic travel but is now being extended to international travelers and will remain operational at the two metro stations from 7am to 9pm. Check-in is between 12 hours and 2 hours before flight departure for domestic routes and between 4 hours and 2 hours for international schedules.

The metro’s frequency is every 10 minutes and it takes 19 minutes to reach the departure level at Delhi Airport Terminal 3, making every traveler’s journey faster and hassle-free.
