MALONE – Law enforcement officers from across Franklin County were honored May 22 for their service to the communities and territories they serve.

Officers from seven agencies received awards during a special ceremony at the Malone Golf Club sponsored by the Franklin County Traffic Safety Board.

The award winners were cited for their efforts to enforce the state’s vehicle and traffic laws, including the Driving While Intoxicated law.

The eleven officers, nominated by leadership of their respective agencies, were honored for making the most misdemeanor arrests in the DWI and Vehicle and Traffic categories.

Special awards were presented by Evan Cree of Traditional Lacrosse in Hogansburg, known for manufacturing lacrosse sticks.

Keynote speaker at the ceremony was Michael Campbell from the North Country Crime Analysis Center. His subject was “Overdose and Overdose Reporting.”
