A delivery person was robbed of packages by three men who, according to the victim, had a gun.

The men got out of a silver Ford Mondeo in Southfields Drive, Eyres Monsell, Leicestershire, just after 12.45pm BST on Wednesday and threatened the driver.

The victim, a man in his twenties, had packages taken before the men left in the car.

Leicestershire Police say a number of parcels were later found dumped in Aylestone Meadows.

Det Insp Kev Hames appealed for witnesses to the incident or who saw a group of men acting suspiciously to come forward. The incident took place close to the busy A563 ring road, so dashcam footage may have been captured.

No arrests have been made at this time, police said.
