Nottingham bus driver praised for helping unconscious woman

Passengers on the bus – the last to leave the city of the night – got off to help as well.

She said: “Someone called an ambulance. After ten minutes of trying to move her around, we got an answer. She handed over her mobile phone with a dead battery.”

After plugging the phone in to charge on the bus, Ms Oglesby managed to contact the mother of the woman who came to pick her up.

“Obviously she wasn’t in a position to take care of herself, and I just think back to how if I was that old and that sick, I would want someone to take care of me,” she said.

“And when my son reaches that age, I hope there is someone to take care of him.”
