Victim of fatal motorcycle crash on McCarran Boulevard near Plumb Lane on Sunday identified | News

According to a statement from the Washoe County Coroner’s Office, the victim killed in a motorcycle crash on McCarran Blvd. near Plumb Ln. Sunday is set.

Scott Thoma, 46, of Reno, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries resulting from a collision with an object attached to a motorcycle.

A motorcyclist has died after a crash on South McCarran Boulevard south of Plumb Lane.

The crash occurred on Sunday, June 2 around 8 p.m

The only vehicle involved was the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Reno police believe speed may have been a factor in the crash. It’s not clear if disability was a factor.

People are asked to avoid McCarran Boulevard between Plumb Lane and Greensburg Circle. Police say the road may be closed for several hours.
