Men’s swimming’s Will Licon finishes fourth in 200 breast final at U.S. Olympic Trials

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Former University of Texas star Will Licon finished fourth and is a former Longhorn Jake Foster placed seventh in the 200-meter breaststroke final Wednesday evening during the US Olympic Team Trials – Swimming at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The top finisher in the US Olympic Trials individual swimming events automatically earns a spot on the official Team USA roster, while the runner-up is considered a near lock to make the team as well.

Matthew Fallong (2:06.54) and Josh Matheny (2:08.86) took the top two spots in the 200 breast final. Licon finished fourth in a time of 2:09.38, narrowly missing out on a place in Paris by 0.52 seconds. Foster finished seventh with a score of 2:09.64.
