Academic year 2024 will strengthen the positions of women in faculties

Amid its efforts to ensure a more inclusive environment for all students, faculty and staff, Tokyo Tech has created eight new positions for female associate professors or professors – one for each of its schools and institutes – in academic year 2024.

This affirmative action, based on Article 8 of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act, encourages women – a group that remains underrepresented among Tokyo Tech faculty – to join the community, identify and solve global problems and create a better future together.

Tokyo Tech is implementing this initiative for the third consecutive year after positions for women became available in the 2022 and 2023 academic years. See Tokyo Tech’s employment opportunities.
